Delete your account

01In the app

• Open Profile.
• Tap the settings icon at the top of the screen.
• Open “My details”.
• Tap “Delete account” and confirm by tapping “Delete”.

The account is deleted immediately. After that, neither the account nor your progress can be restored.

02Without the app

Write to account@musa.kz with the subject “Account deletion”. Include the phone number or the Apple or Google email you sign in with. If you are not writing from that email address, we will ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We will delete the account within 10 business days and confirm this in a reply.

03Delete some of your data

You can change or erase your photo, name and other profile data in the app: Profile, “Settings”, “My details”. To delete specific data while keeping your account, for example voice recordings in the Academy, write to account@musa.kz.

04What is deleted

• your profile: name, gender, date of birth, country, city, phone number and email, the link to your photo, and linked Apple or Google sign-in;
• devices, sign-in sessions and notification tokens;
• progress in Hifz, Learning and Names of Allah, Quran reading, khatm and reading goal, adhkar, and your day streak;
• Academy courses, voice recordings and teacher replies;
• your place in the rankings and leagues.

05What remains

• favorites and ayah collections, “Daily Deeds” check marks, the city you chose for prayer times and its settings;
• your profile photo file in file storage;
• Travel section documents, if you added any;
• sign-in and registration records, one-time codes, the log of sent notifications, subscription event details and records of league wins;
• server technical logs;
• copies in backups: deleted within 30 days;
• purchase history in the App Store or Google Play: it is kept by Apple and Google under their own rules;
• data in Firebase, AppMetrica and RevenueCat: the account identifier, events and subscription details are kept for the periods set by those services, without your name or contact details;
• documents we are required by law to keep, for example under contracts with organizations.

This data is linked to the internal account identifier, and sign-in records and Travel documents are also linked to your phone number. We will delete it at your request sent to account@musa.kz: include the phone number or email address you signed in with. We are setting up automatic deletion.

Deleting your account does not cancel your MUSA Hafiz subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, otherwise the store will keep charging you.
